Meet the Chef

Chef Godfrey McKenzie was born in Jamaica to a schoolteacher and a minister. He has fond childhood memories of watching his mother baking bread in a wood-burning stove and distributing loaves to poor neighbors in their village. This was the beginning of a life-long passion for baking, and an enduring lesson in the power of food to touch lives. His passion for food, bread, flavor combinations, emphasis on artistry, and incredible ability to combine authenticity and innovation in the world of European baking have built his reputation in the culinary world.
