Jeanie Sausele cultivated her passion for jazz vocals and the Great American Songbook by performing within the Washington DC area jazz community and studying with dynamic performing artists, including Grammy nominees Cyrille Aimée, Kate McGarry and Jane Monheit. Also actively engaged as a visual artist, Jean Sausele-Knodt’s work is exhibited throughout the East Coast and is held in corporate and private collections.
Martin Forrester is a scientist who enjoys playing guitar to relax and enjoy time with friends. Having studied classical guitar in his teens and twenties, and after raising a family in Pennsylvania, he returned to guitar after moving to Maryland in his fifties. There he took classes in jazz ensemble playing and music theory at Levine Music, where he met and played with Jeanie Sausele. He can occasionally be seen performing locally with the jazz group “Idle Moments” and the neo-soul group “New Moon” (formerly “Moonshine Orchestra”).
Kevin Johnson is an in-demand bass player in Northern Virginia. He’s the managing editor for NoTreble.com, the largest online magazine for bassists. In that role, he’s reported on every aspect of the bass world from album and gear reviews to interviews with artists ranging from Les Claypool to Larry Graham to Victor Wooten. He’s also been a regular contributor to Bass Player Magazine.
